Al Bosnic
Managing Director
Al Bosnic’s passion for soccer began at just four years old, playing on the streets of Bosnia. In 1992, his family relocated to Germany, where he continued his development in competitive youth club soccer, facing some of the country’s top teams. These early experiences instilled in him discipline, resilience, and a love for the game that would shape his future both on and off the field.
After moving to Chicago in 1999, Al played one year of high school soccer at Amundsen before relocating to Scottsdale, Arizona, in 2001. His journey as a player laid the foundation for a deeper commitment to coaching and mentoring young athletes. Becoming a father in 2011 inspired Al to begin coaching in 2014 at Scottsdale Soccer, which later became Phoenix Rising, where he started with recreational teams. After his own children progressed to club soccer, Al focused on personal training and continues to coach the middle school team at Scottsdale Preparatory Academy, developing young players with a focus on skill, confidence, and love for the game.
In addition to his coaching career, Al brings 15+ years of entrepreneurship experience, which has strengthened his leadership, vision, and ability to build programs that truly support players and families. Today, he serves as Managing Director at FC Batavia, dedicating his expertise to growing the club and developing young players into confident, skilled, and well-rounded athletes. Alongside his leadership role, he continues hands-on coaching, combining technical skill training with character development, discipline, and a lifelong love for the game.
With decades of experience as a player, coach, entrepreneur, and mentor, Al’s commitment is to create an environment where every player can reach their full potential while enjoying the game, learning valuable life skills, and becoming part of a supportive soccer community.
