Professional Team Training and Game Coaching
Led by our professional coaching staff FCB teams and players train 2-3 times per week and play games and tournaments most weekends.
Personal Training
Our professional coaching staff offers additional 1-on-1 training, small group training, as well position specific training. Residential Camps, Skills Clinics, Holiday Camps, Finishing Schools, Small Group Training, Position Specific Training. Email us for more info.

European Professional Trials
In some cases, we have been able to help our top players get recognized and to participate in European trials at professional soccer clubs. Email us if you have interest.
Goalkeeper Training
FC Batavia takes pride in hiring a professional Goalkeeper Director to properly develop goalkeepers in their respective playing formats (7v7, 9v9, 11v11, High School). All 5 elements of development are incorporated into every drill, in every session along with online educational workshops appropriate for their age levels.

An age appropriate curriculum covers all elements required to perform at the highest level of play. Our program supports our goalkeepers and parents of goalkeepers on and off the field, 24/7.

Please allow us to introduce ourselves. We are Futbol Club Batavia (FCB), a non-profit youth soccer club based in the north valley and founded to teach Arizona youth, regardless of their socio-economic background, how to succeed in life through soccer.

FC Batavia ‘s elite coaching staff has been successfully been developing AZ players and teams since 1997.

FCB offers year-round professional soccer training and coaching for all ages and levels; from the very youngest beginners who are just checking to see if they like the game, to more serious players wanting to improve enough to make their high school team, to top club players wanting to play at the highest levels in the state, all the way up to our most elite seniors that are getting ready to play in college or even want to try to reach professional levels.

Regardless of level and goals, we instill in all our players a life-long passion for the game as well as essential values like Team Work, Leadership, Respect, Commitment, Self-Discipline, Responsibility, and Excellence.

Our programs, our training methods, our coaching philosophy, and our club culture are all geared towards preparing our players for success in life on the soccer field and off.

Club Culture

FCB is proud to have struck a balance in our club ethos.

We ARE a competitive, ambitious, and professionally run club that has simultaneously managed to keep its authentic, community-based, family-oriented, fun and open culture.

We ARE a club that does great work with the youngest ages but offer more to talented and ambitious older players in terms of professional coaching, college/pro network and exposure, and elite programs.

We ARE a transparent club where players aren’t numbers and families aren’t required to make tremendous financial, social, and time sacrifices thinking that is the only way to reach the top.

Soccer Training Methods.

FCB focuses most training time with our younger players on the technical aspects of the game, i.e. ball skills. FCB agrees that team formations, Strength & Conditioning, and the so-called “dead moments” like corners and free kicks, are all very important aspects of the game.

Unlike many other programs however we feel strongly that these aspects are better taught in players’ later teen years. At the end of the day, playing systems will always only be as good as the individual players executing them.

Unfortunately, we have all too often seen those fantastic, very young athletes that dominate games on sheer speed, strength, or size only to later just not reach full potential because skills training was neglected in their vitally important formative years and they never truly became “One with the Ball”.

At first glance soccer might seem to be a game of 11 vs 11 players but it really is interconnected sequences of small sided games of 1v1, 2v1, 2v2, 3v2, 3v3, 3v4, etc. Our training curriculum for our younger age groups is therefore heavily based on playing many Small Sided Games and the Coerver Coaching Method and its Pyramid of Player Development.
